When the Enemy takes the moral high ground: a reflection

An incident

I was in a cafe recently, and was verbally attacked for the table I chose. THAT’s got to be the enemy. When I began to extricate myself to avoid an argument, I was told my behaviour was “unbelievable”. THAT’s got to be the enemy too.

I think the LORD is prompting me to be better equipped to defend myself, not to give up ground too easily. This within my family, around my peers, everywhere. I suppose the time will come, when persecution gets stronger and attack becomes more fierce, when I will have to retaliate.

Right now I just want to avoid arguing and it seems to follow me everywhere.

A Prayer

Oh Father, may I have the wings of a dove and the heart of an eagle, to love and not to fear, to soar and not escape.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

How to fly

We all need to fly, freely and forthrightly, in these days of challenge and impending calamity. May we have the heart to face our own short-comings and to be pruned by the LORD, so that we are righteous and clear-minded, ready to stand against attack, doubt and fear. All in His Love. Amen.
