Preparing the Bride of Jesus Christ

What does our worship give to GOD?

But what of the LORD? How does He respond to the angels? How does He respond to our worship?

Did you know that when we worship, we show the Lord His sacrifice was worth it?

Worship is singing and dancing but especially, it is giving glory to GOD

Yes, worship is singing. And it’s dancing and playing an instrument. It’s shouting with joy. In every way we live, move and have our being, it is giving glory to GOD. THAT is worship. But what does our worship give to GOD?

He made us, with all our limbs, fingers and toes. Why not use it all to show our gratitude and joy?

He gave us voices to speak. Let’s use them to express our love for Him.

He designed us to worship. Let’s worship Him!

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. (Psalm 150:6) AND let every way we live and move and have our being, praise the LORD. (Acts 17:28)

His response to our worship

Angels bow before Him, with reverence and awe. And what reverence and awe we would have when we see and hear it.

Let’s consider the sounds of angels. Consider their power and presence. The shepherds quaked at Gabriel’s appearance and were inspired at the sound of the heavenly host. (Luke 2)

But what of the LORD? How does He respond to the angels? And how does He respond to our worship?

John writes, “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:24)

We are commanded to worship. Does it give Him pleasure? Certainly! He encourages us to worship — not because of His ego but for our benefit. And when we do worship Him, it surely gives Him a father’s joy.

He made us for relationship. As we worship Him, we shed our fears and worries; as we worship Him, we discover freedrom; as we worship, we take delight and are a delight to Him. As with any father, when the child is full of delight, likewise and even more so: the Father is full of delight for His child too.

As for Jesus, when we worship, He sees our gratitude. He can receive our thanksgiving for His sacrifice — and know it was all worth it!
