Preparing the Bride of Jesus Christ

Wake-up call of Psalm 90

We are hear to serve Jesus.

I awoke in my well-trodden Canadian neighbourhood with the thought, We are hear to serve Jesus.

Then I had a wake-up call — the wake-up call of Psalm 90….

Then I had the call to say to one person, ‘You are called to Leadership… when will you rise to it’. Then I read Psalm 90 as the natural course of my reading daily through the Psalms.

These words jump out at me for all of us from verse 21,

“So teach us to number our days,

That we may gain a heart of wisdom.”

Oh, my Word! Jesus, we are meant to work out our time, and allow Your time table to lead us, to feed us, as to the way we should go. If we mark our days, dedicated to You, we will not waste our time, we will not squander the gifts, talents, and time He has given us.

And from verse 71,

“And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us,

And establish the work of our hands for us;

Yes, establish the work of our hands.”

He says it twice: ‘establish the work of our hands.’

We are called to dedicate ourselves to the work the LORD has given us. He equips us with abilities and gifts. He gives us time to use them.

And so, we must work out how, when and in what manner we do that which He has called us to do.

For “faith without works is dead.” (James 2:20)

Hallelujah!
