Is the Beast from the East… Storm Emma in the UK a reflection of Daniel 7, Revelation 11, 13 or 17?
Is it a metaphor for things to come?
It comes from the East. Is this a significant factor in the Supernatural?Â
Consider the times and the seasons
“And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.”” Acts 1:7
Earlier today I posted the above as part of the latest edition of the “Watchman on Alert” newsletter.
I have been considering the way the journalists and weather people have labelled this storm, taking nothing as a coincidence.
We need to read Daniel 7 and Revelation – some of the Beast references – and other Biblical references as regards a threat from the North or from the East with this in mind too. (I used to be a teacher; old habits die hard… So, here is some homework: go to www.BibleGateway.com and search key words and phrases such as “beast” “east” and other words/phrases that come to your mind when you think of Jesus’ warnings to the End Times)
The Beast of a storm, at this time of writing, has not hit very hard here in the south, where I am in the UK, but it has hit other areas, particularly in the East, up and down the country.
If we look at times and seasons, literally as well as figuratively, we can reckon storms and and difficult weather conditions can be a reflection of a nation’s standing with Father GOD.
A week ago, when I heard the first threat of the storm announced, I immediately thought of the rumours in Christian circles that in these End Times we must beware the threat from Russia. I’ve never fully understood that, but it jumped into my memory as soon as the newscaster was saying we must beware the beast coming from Russia, from Siberia, as though an enemy were about to attack us, one of Goliath proportions. At that time I thought in this politically correct society and at this touchy time of international relations with Russia, this was not a particularly sensitive line to use. But well, not everybody sees weather conditions as a reflection of political or spiritual conditions, so I figured the newscaster was speaking in ignorance.
But it does highlight one thing: We must know the Word of GOD to know the signs and the seasons. We must look for the signs and seasons in order to pray and to intercede effectively on behalf of our nations. And, as it is written,
“And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.” (Daniel 2:21)
Let us ask the LORD for understanding in these precarious times.
