Father God Yehovah Speaks in Dreams

“He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they lie in their beds.” (Job 33:15 – New Living Translation)

Last night I had a dream and in that dream there was a truck that was steadfastly going in the intended direction, but only at about 10 miles an hour.

On reflection, I realise that truck was me.

I have issues. Well, don’t we all? I wrestle with pride, control, fear and a lack of faith. The bundle makes sense… I want to achieve, I try to achieve, I’m afraid I’ll mess up, and in my human effort, I interfere with God’s process and so I fail. If I had more faith I’d mess up less often. That’s me, in a nutshell.

I messed up again over the weekend… trying to protect myself from shame, I hid when I should have stood strongly, and trusted in God’s favour and protection to yield success. Instead, I created the failure I feared.

Well, last night the LORD spoke to me through that truck. I’m moving forward, He said, slowly but surely.

I needed to hear that.

In a lifetime of getting in God’s way, I need to hear that although I’m inching forward, I’m going in the direction He calls me to go.

Thank you LORD, for dreams.

Now, will you please give me more faith:)
