Expose the Darkness and Punish Disobedience
Way too many of us are clueless as to what has gone on and is still going on in this nation [USA] and the world. Many knew what was going on yet chose to hide their head in the sand. God is not pleased with that. Consequently, the whole world is at risk. God will deliver us, but the cost will be greater because those who knew, did nothing.
Eph 5:8-13 “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.”
Hate what God hates, love what God loves: Prov 14:34 “Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people.”
Expose Darkness: a calling
On 4-15-2020, as soon as I opened my eyes that morning, the Holy Spirit said, “Expose the works of darkness.”
Prov 24:11-12 says, “Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. 12 If you say, “But we knew nothing about this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay each person according to what he has done?” NIV
2 Cor 10:3-6 says, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”
Many people have heard these verses yet precious few walk in them. This is one of the reasons the Body of Christ is so weak and fearful. But to not do what these verses command (like other verses) is disobedience. Look at verse 6 of the above scripture. Do we know what it means? Have we ever heard anyone teach on this verse? Probably not.
What is Punishment
The word punish in the Greek:
*NT:1556 ekdikeo (ek-dik-eh’-o); from *NT:1558; to vindicate, retaliate, punish KJV – a (re-) venge.
**NT:1558 ekdikos (ek’-dik-os); from **NT:1537 and NT:1349; carrying justice out, i.e. a punisher: KJV – a (re-) venger.
Are we willing to be one of Gideon’s 300? Or are we afraid of what may happen if we do? Maybe losing friends if we sound the trumpet of truth and hold up the light in the darkness? Will we speak the truth while loving the friend? If not, we do not love the friend. We are disqualified from the Gideon’s (God’s) chosen to punish, to carry out justice on the enemies of God. This is what Gideon’s army did. They blew the trumpet of truth and they held up the light in the darkness. What happened next? The enemies turned on one another.
When we do what the word says, we blow a trumpet. Disobedience will be punished when we walk in the light.
