Something good about the Darkness: a reflection

“Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous!

For praise from the upright is beautiful.”

Psalm 33:1

There is something about the encroaching darkness over and within our society which, though in itself is not ideal, does offer something of goodness to be revealed.

We who follow Jesus, seeking to be like him: surrendered, holy and doing good to honour the Father of Creation, stand out. We must never forget, however imperfect we may be, He sees our perfection. When we honour Him, he is delighted. When we worship him, it is “beautiful.”

Although in our humility, we recognise our faults, the Father is delighted.

We must not forget that just as the darker the darkness, the brighter the light shines, so too, the greater the barbarism, hedonism, greed and lust in our world, the more our purity stands out and is a wholesome reminder of the beauty of obedience and the sacrifice of Jesus.

Let us hold fast to what is good, and not fear the darkness. We pray against it, but we do not fear, for GOD is good and sovereign, and He knows what He is doing at all times.

Shalom. Praise Jehovah. Be kind, generous and loving. And the light will shine brighter in the darkness, so that those seeking will find the Truth.
