On my birthday
I’m young enough to be bothered about getting old, and old enough to know it’s inevitable now…
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.” This proverb speaks volumes to us and for me, it is trusting Him in and for my life, in every nuance and every aspect.
My birthday, another birthday, has just passed. I’m of an older generation now. Life has been rich, challenging; with my grey hairs I know I’m in latter years. Although I am healthy, strong, joyful, energetic, my chronology suggests I’ve lived the majority of my life already. I am well. But I realise this year, as I pass over another year:
I’m young enough to be bothered about getting old, and old enough to know it’s inevitable now…
Trust the LORD and His timing. I’ve done more in my life in the last few years than in all the decades before. GOD is not finished with me. I have no regrets and every expectation. The Joy of the LORD truly is my strength!
So, “be bold” is what I want you to catch today. Enjoy Him and enjoy the life He’s given you. And don’t regret the past but “press on to the upward call of GOD in Christ Jesus” today.
