The sudden death, and then revelation that Ann Widdecombe was murdered is heart-wrenching for many in politics and many Christians, because Miss Ann Widdecombe was high level and of a high standard in both.
Ann will, I believe, be with her Lord Jesus now. I trust she’ll be dialoguing with Him and having a great time dancing in worship to her King.
But the untimely earthly departure and in violence, is shocking, tragic, and a warning to our society, which is completely out of control now. Violence is bred from a lack of the right sort of education — moral education. Remove the 10 Commandments, remove “you shall not kill”, remove social contract and social consequences, and what arises? Murder. The murder of a keen thinker, a great communicator, and a profoundly wise and godly woman.
We must pray more than ever before. Our society is crumbling. The Church MUST arise for only Jesus comes between us and barbarism.
We pray for the politicians and government. We pray for the schools and all educational institutions. We pray for parents. Our young people are targets for despair, violence, and pain. Our young people must have hope, grace, and a healthy fear of authority and of GOD, if our society is to survive.
