Recently, I was driving in Northern Scotland. It was a sunny day of 13.5 degrees celsius. I was in an upgraded rented car. It was November.
Scotland in November does not usually equal warm and dry, never mind sunny!!
I said aloud, “Thank you, GOD. I don’t deserve this. You are blessing me SO MUCH!”
Living in Blessing
Life can be simple sometimes. Life can be trying sometimes. What is constant though, is GOD! He is consistently kind, consistently able, and consistently, He seeks to bless us.
“The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.” (Proverbs 10:22)
We just have to look for it, accept it, and say thank you.
Life can be tough
Not everything in life is easy. In fact, life sometimes seems really challenging. But never is a challenge beyond us, when we include GOD in it!
“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4)
What things can we do with GOD? All things!
Accept what we are given
The LORD chooses to bless us. It is up to us to recognise it and to receive it.
Even challenges are gifts, for challenges us enable opportunity for us to grow.
In Philippians 3 we read, “forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13b-14)
There is nothing that cannot be a blessing to us. Nothing.
