GOD loves you and wants to bless you. No condition, no reservation, no catch!
Are you and I able to receive?
Let Go Control, Let GOD Bless
I want to urge all of us to let go control and let GOD bless us in the ways He desires. We can learn to say “yes” more to His opportunities and “no” to personal ambition and fear and distraction.
How GOD has blessed me
I’d like to share with you how very blessed I have been over the past 2 years… BUT there has been a tough time in the midst of this blessing, and that is a part of the blessing!
I can be super-organised. Because I can organise my time quite well, I am able to take on responsibility. And I love to be busy.
So over the last couple of years, I’ve become more and more involved in a variety of missions and ministries, and I love it!
The first step was to say “yes” to GOD when He moved me to a new church. The former was great. The new is a perfect fit.
As I said “yes” to GOD in my work and my church family, He has blessed me by changing me, making me more like Him. The relationships I am building, as well as my pre-existing relationships are solid, life-giving, enriching and challenging: a perfect balance for life and growth.
The talents He’s given me are being used and developed. This is perhaps one of the most rewarding results of my learning better how to say “yes” to GOD.
In the midst, there has been some spiritual attack. There has been some decision-making where I went off-track. But He does make all things good to those who love Him, and so, I have moved through a difficult bit of time and come through, shining as before. (Romans 8:28; Job 23:10)
I am truly blessed in this life. It is because I’ve put aside more and more, my tendency to control outcomes through organisation, and focusing my organisation skills toward the missions He has given me. I’m still a work-in-progress, but what I’m saying is this:
As we learn to let go our expectations and outcomes, as we lay down our control and allow Him to lead, we will be changed in ways that are truly a blessing. There are blessing for others and blessings for ourselves, there to be received, when we say “yes” to GOD. I am living it, and I encourage it!
Thank you, Jesus, for your wonder! Amen.
