ICE man v Ms Good: political commentary from a Christian Perspective

Larus Press is going to do a shift and on Tuesdays, will start political commentary from a Christian perspective.

Larus Press is going to do a shift a little, and will start political commentary from a Christian perspective. So much is happening around the world that I simply cannot ignore…

An ICE agent in Minneapolis shot a woman driver when she careened toward him, then drove off.

The road was icy. A second ICE officer slipped on the ice. The woman had been blocking the road with her car, to prevent ICE agents from passing through, and when asked, she refused to move her car. Repeatedly she was asked apparently, and repeatedly she refused to cooperate.

But these were not reasons to be shot.

There have been multiple times when vehicles have been used to terrorise civilians. Had this woman not been shot, would she have used hers for this purpose? Did she intend to run over the ICE men? Or were the roads in Northern USA in midwinter simply too slippery for a quick start for the vehicle to be controlled.

Should the ICE man ever have pulled his gun? He only did so after the car careened toward him — only for a brief moment — before it moved away.

Why didn’t the agent shoot the tires of the vehicle? Not enough certainty to stop her? Was he concerned for other civilians or was he vengeful?

Resource for Help

We cannot know the human answers. The evidence above all else points to this:

We need Jesus! We need peace restored across America and across the globe. We need righteousness, not a twisting of truths, to lead the nations. The West is collapsing. Cynicism is aiding and abetting the demise of the Western nations at a now-accelerated rate.

Hate is running rampant

Was it hate that killed this woman? Was it fear? Was it her own stupid loyalty to an ideology that is counter-intuitive to a law-biding citizen.

We need to pray. We need to stand against the enemy. It is not flesh and blood we are fighting, but principalities and powers (Ephesians 6).

A woman was shot dead — 3 shots were fired. Why 3? Certainty? To stop the car from mowing down passers-by?

This is grim.

We pray for Ms Good’s family. We pray for the ICE man’s family, and for him. We pray because the Prince of Peace is coming and the heat against Him is building toward His arrival. Satan won’t give up easily — and so neither must we.

I pray for the women’s young children, first: that they will not be embittered but that they will find a way to You, Jesus.

I pray for the community, that they will not hate and will not seek vengeance.

I pray for ICE and the government, that the truth might be discerned.

And I pray for all of us, that we will seek righteousness while He may be found.
