Approaching summer holidays can be a stressful time as hopes and expectations give rise to fear of failure, fear of financial limitations, and fear of a time vacuum.
I have only 1 simple word about Summer Holidays
If I have any right to advise, I’d say just one thing about summer hols. We need to keep the relationship between us and our children alive: keep talking, keep sharing experiences, keep going! Let’s not give up on the adolescent who is incommunicado. We won’t give up on our child who always wants MORE! We won’t give up on ourselves even when we never seem able to please and never seem to have enough time for ourselves.
We won’t give up!
Let’s keep the relationships going. It doesn’t cost money to talk. It doesn’t cost money to have a shared experience. It doesn’t cost money to be together.
Let’s keep going. We mums matter. It’s important we enjoy the time we have… to celebrate the simple fact we are alive, together, and can keep going!
