Preparing the Bride of Jesus Christ

Experiencing Jesus: somewhat of a reflection

He’s the light of the world and yet He’s our close and personal friend.

Those of us who walk with the Lord Jesus, have encountered Him on a deeply personal level and know He is “the way the truth and the life.” We know it in the fibre of our being.

He’s the light of the world and yet, He’s our close and personal friend.

One day, I was praying, reflecting on Jesus, and I had a sort of vision. I say “sort of” for those who may be early in your journey with the supernatural way GOD relates to us. It wasn’t a vision like an image that could be photographed. It was in my “mind’s eye” — but not my imagination. I knew it wasn’t something I invented, but that was presented to me.

We — Jesus and I — were walking along a seascape. His feet were barely touching the earth, the sand dampened by the ebb and flow of the sea. I sensed Him (inaudibly) to say “follow Me”. I knew if I did, I’d have the same peace and wisdom that He carried. Then, His hand simply drifted from His side and into the air, touching the air and bringing “life” to it. I sensed the sound of the sea, the breeze, birds chirping, and the smell of the mix of salt and sea in the air. There was no sun — Just Light. It was an endless walk filled with peace. Jesus flowed quickly and yet there was no rush. I was BEING, just being. And I followed, more with my eyes than with movement. Then I moved, without feeling my own walking. I existed in this neverending and absolute peace.

It was a beautiful experience, most difficult to convey in words.

I pray for you, dear reader, to reflect on the experiences you’ve had with Jesus. They may be similar; they may be very different.

I think it’s important we have them — that we take more time to have them. and more often.

I pray for His peace in all of us.
