Can we just make time for GOD today… Easter Monday… more time than usual as it’s a Bank Holiday (in some circles at least)? Can we take time to reflect?
Easter Sunday Church
I had an extraordinary amount of fun at church yesterday. Some of my favourite people were there, worshipping. And I, for the first time in years, was in a choir. It was great fun! And worshipping, thanking Jesus and the Father, for the pain and suffering endured for me, and for all who claim it, was wonderful.
Briefly
I’ll be brief. We need to take more time to be with Him. If you’re like me, you’re easily distracted — by phone, by internet, by to-do lists. But it’s all our choice, all of our own making.
So, let’s agree to put aside time, from now on: More time to simply be with Him.
Agenda
If you must have an agenda, make it a one item agenda: simply, to rest in Him today. Choose an amount of time. See what happens. But the single objective: To rest in Him. It’s good, sound, Biblical. Set a time frame: 5 minutes, 30 minutes, all day.
Set a time and stick to it until you’re ready to extend it into future days. And be consistent….
Hebrews 4:1-3 says,
“Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: “So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest,’ ” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.”
Let’s learn to Rest more in Him
