Companionship with our Father

“Friendship with the world is enmity with GOD.”

I am growing as a companion to GOD.

Recently, I began to realise whilst in prayer, that the Father really wants intimacy with me. It isn’t a one way desire. I was seeking Him and He revealed to me, He wants me as His companion, as well.

How do I dare to say this?

Looking at Genesis, Enoch and Noah both walked with GOD.

“Enoch ….. walked with God” (Genesis 5:24)

“Noah …. walked with GOD (Genesis 6:9)

And as one who follows The Way of Jesus, I have accepted that friendship with the world is is contrary to GOD’s Way,

“Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” (James 4:4)

Jesus said that he and the Father were one,

“… that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. (John 17:21)

Jesus prayed for his disciples and for all who would one day follow him, that we might be one in Him.

Let us take GOD at His word…

He says he wants companionship. I trust Him and am learning from Him how to live that out.
