Church Age: Why does it seem to be in decline?

Is it the end of the Church Age? This I’ve been observing for some years.
If God wants people to follow church, they will. But the decline in traditional church has been steady, even though there has been an increase in the number of new believers for decades.

What’s going on?

It is the end of the Church Age, I believe. The Age where Christendom dominates the setting of universal values has ended. We see that in Western culture. That which is abhorrent to God as evidenced in scripture has become the celebrated norm. Wrong has become right and right certainly has become wrong. Abortion on demand, LGTB rights been declared and opposing values are considered to be a demonstration of intolerance rather than conviction.

A dear Messianic acquaintance has said, the Church Age finished when Jerusalem was liberated from Gentile control in 1967. That would concur with the demise of values that began then and is continuing now. Certainly the morality as expressed by Judeo-Christian values has been in decline since the Sixties.

I believe the power and authority of the Church in our society has gone. Moving forward, I don’t believe God’s strategy is to regain its influence, but rather to allow a Godly transformation to occur, so that the principles of God can again protect the people.

What we need to do is to turn from our traditional concept of the practices of Christianity that are based on Constantine Christianity – aka Roman Catholicism and the spill over into Protestantism – and return to the 1st Century church that embraced its Judeo roots. Jesus was Jewish; as he was steeped in the culture God favoured, so must we learn to celebrate the festivals – not as Law but because it is what delights the LORD.

The Church Age has ended, with our false dates and festivals. We need to return to the Sabbath and the Festivals ordained by God.

Sarah shalom. The Gentile Church in general, has never fully practised that which Shaul-Paul, taught them to. Unfortunately the spiritual arrogance! of the leaders, who decided to create other denominational religious Gentile churches! By rejecting the grafting into the spiritual olive tree of the house of Israel. And becoming one new man in Jesus Mashiach-meaning no Jews or Gentile. No circumcision in the flesh, now we look for the hearts circumcision, which has separated from man made religion, And replacement theologies. Which as you know Sarah. People who choose to follow the true teachings of Mashiach Jesus are no longer strangers to the spiritual house of Israel, because we are grafted into it. I have a love to fetch the truth to most of the Gentile Christian Churches, who have rejected being grafted into the spiritual house of Israel, as Paul taught them!
I am always mindful of our kinsman Redeemer, when He says to those who thought they belonged to Him? “Go away for I do not know you.” Sarah recently I was sculpting in my studio, on a clay maquette of the matured Adam and Eve of today, Then I heard a silent voice within saying…”Help Me find, that I may save, the lost sheep of the house of Israel, I want My sheep to know Me! As they are, the Israel of Elohim.”
There were angels nor flashing light, just a deep sense of shalom, and spiritual confidence that both Jews and Gentiles, will know what has caused the decline of people falling away from the Gentile Church Age! Sarah sadly many Gentile believers, have turned their backs on the Israel of God in Yeshua Mashiach, Assuming a Jew needs to be converted to a Gentile Christian, and practise their man made satanic festivals.
I have lots of Gentile Christian friends, who do not believe! That the Gentile Christians have know replaced Israel. Nor do they agree with most of the Gentile Christian leaders…Starting with the Anglicans Roman Catholic Methodist Baptist and most of the denominational mane churches? who have encouraged people not to help anyone who is a Jew, nor trade with Israel, nor bless the children of Elohim-God-Jews-Israel, nor have anything to do with anyone who, does anything to help those in need of Zion…Sarah there is a need for us to walk the talk of our faith…These Gentile Church leaders need to repent of their statements, then fetch fruit worthy of their repentance. Only then will you see people being added to Yeshua-Jesus, as they were! When those first Jewish Apostles were teaching the TRUTH!
Shalom my sister have a really blessed week. Both Miriam and I miss living in Spain, were we still have farm land and house to sell in Asturias,

Amen Brother. Spoken in truth and yet with kind and gentle love. Yes, while the Body is waking, it is a slow awakening and many are blinded by the bias of the media and do not see what the world is doing as they turn their backs on Israel. But there are a band of Believers who admire, respect and stand with Jews – Believers and nonBelievers who have yet to awaken.
Thank you so much for commenting.

Every blessing. Shalom.
Sarah
