Character Development: new series

Jesus said, “Be perfect just as your father in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48)

Introduction

The development of our character is the chief aim of Paul in his writings to the Gentiles, and the central message of Jesus when he walked the earth.

Jesus said, “Be perfect just as your father in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48)

Of his life mission, Paul wrote in his last letter to us, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (1 Timothy 4:7)

As a token expression of the mission GOD has placed in each of our hearts, occasionally I will put together a short comment on any particular character attribute in an effort to highlight qualities GOD is shaping in us. You may use these as springboards for your own prayer, as references to dive into, or as important points to consider as you grow in your own faith or lead others in theirs.
