Passage of time
after death
of a loved one.
Marking moments
memories of friends and
intimacies of marriage
make me remember.
And yet
The door is closing
must close
on past times
A new freedom beckons
bittersweet
Strife-less; less safe,
haven lost to find
in new life:
breath
peace
hope
with fond remembrances of
You.
(In memory of Alan Tun, my wonderful husband and best friend)

Words written from one’s heart speak more, too the volumes of silence.
Like one page in our Bible about the love of God; touches all others.
Thanks for sharing your poem Sarah, its beautiful.

We who write do so to encourage, uplift, stir up and draw closer to the LORD. Amen and Amen, Kenny.
Beautiful poem. Very expressive yet well balanced.
Praise the LORD. Let everything that has breath, praise the LORD.
